SAHIWAL: Two people were injured when an oil tanker overturned on the National Highway near Okara on Friday morning.
Reportedly two men were injured when an oil tanker carrying 40,000 litres of petrol overturned on the National Highway near Sashiwal’s district.
The tanker overturned while travelling from Multan to Habibabad. According to rescue officials, the accident occurred after one of the tanker’s tyres burst.
The police have sealed the area and work to right the tanker has begun. Sand has also been spread on the road to clear up the oil spill.
A track of the National Highway has been temporarily closed for traffic due to the incident.
