Two doctors infected with COVID-19 at Abbottabad’s hospital

ABBOTTABAD: At least two doctors have been tested positive with novel coronavirus at Ayub Medical Complex.
The in-charge corona cell said that a spokesperson of the Young Doctors Association, Dr. Ali Raza is also among those who have contracted coronavirus. Additionally, the number of infected doctors at the Ayub Medical Complex has jumped to 46.
earlier, at least two doctors had tested positive with novel coronavirus at the National Institute of Child Health (NICH). Along with the infected doctors, the working staff has also been quarantined.
The emergency of the NICH was closed for an hour to disinfect the premises after the detection of two cases.
The number of health professionals contracted coronavirus reached 509 in Pakistan. The country is witnessing a consistent increase in coronavirus cases while the health professionals working on the front line are also falling prey to the pandemic.
During the last 24 hours, three doctors from Balochistan tested positive, 5 from Islamabad, and one each in Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). Overall 273 doctors, 75 nurses, and 171 health staff members became the victim of coronavirus so far.
As many as 256 healthcare workers on Sunday had tested positive for coronavirus in the country, raising the tally of infected medics to 4,114.
