Twitter denies suspending President Alvi’ account over IOK post

ISLAMABAD: Twitter has sent a notice to President Arif Alvi regarding his tweet on the situation of the Indian occupied Kashmir (IOK).
The notice served to the President stated that Twitter has received a complaint regarding Arif Alvi’s account related to the tweet he previously posted over Indian occupied Kashmir issue.
The notice further added that they have investigated the president’s tweet but did not find any violations against Twitter’s rules.
On 24th August, President Alvi had tweeted a foreign media video showing the latest situation in the occupied territory.

He tweeted, “This is Srinagar yesterday despite curfews, bans, blackouts, teargas, and firing. No amount of oppression & brutality can suppress the resentment of the Kashmiris against India. They want freedom at all costs. Please retweet and let the world know.”
This tweet led to a number of internet users registering a complaint against President Alvi’s account, seeking its suspension, which Twitter has denied.
