Turning around economy within a year is huge success: PM

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that it was a great success of our economic team to turn around the economy within a year.

The prime minister on Twitter posted saying, “It is a great achievement of our economic team to turn around the economy within a year.”

The prime minister said that foreign direct investment has witnessed an increase of 111.5 percent while foreign private investment rose by 194 percent during this period.

He added that the current account debt has gone down by 80 percent during a similar period while the payments increased by 17 percent.

Similarly, exports registered an increase of 5.9 percent over the last year while imports declined by 18.6 percent.
