US President Trump claims that China and the US are working together and that Beijing is happy that he is opening the Strait of Hormuz.
“China is very happy that I am permanently opening the Strait of Hormuz. I am doing it for them, also – and the World. This situation will never happen again,” Trump said in a social media post.

There has been no comment from China on Trump’s statement.
Earlier, Trump asked his Chinese counterpart Xi not to supply weapons to Iran and that Xi replied he was not doing so.
“I had heard that China’s giving weapons to, I mean – you’re seeing it all over the place – to Iran,” claimed Trump in an interview with Fox Business.
“And I wrote him a letter asking him not to do that, and he wrote me a letter saying that essentially he’s not doing that.”
US media outlets have reported that US intelligence indicated China was preparing to ship advanced weaponry to Iran.
