Eleven members of the same family tragically lost their lives in a horrific road accident that took place in Muzaffargarh, Punjab, on Saturday evening.
The accident unfolded at Chook Sarver Shaheed area on MM Road Muhammad Wala when a passenger van collided head-on with a truck. Fifteen other passengers sustained serious injuries in the collision.
Rescue 1122 workers swiftly responded to the scene, transporting the deceased and injured to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Chook Sarver Shaheed. Among the casualties are five men, three women, and three children.
According to local police reports, the passengers in the van belonged to the same family and hailed from the village of Lar in Multan. They were en route from Multan to Bhaker to visit relatives when the tragic accident occurred.
The incident has left the community devastated, highlighting the urgent need for improved road safety measures and awareness campaigns to prevent such heartbreaking losses in the future.
