MULTAN: Nine members of a family died today on Monday in a horrific road mishap at Head Pakka area of Mianwali.
According to initial reports, three women along with several children died when the gas cylinder of the vehicle (ambulance) exploded. The explosion occurred when the ambulance collided with a speedy trailer.
The ambulance was on the way to Rawalpindi from Bhakkar when it met this unfortunate incident.
Sources further added that rescue teams started the operation as soon as they reached the site. The bodies were immediately shifted to nearby DHQ hospital.
Earlier, at least 27 people lost their lives when a passenger coach ran into a mountain near Babusar Pass area. 10 Pakistan Army soldiers were also included among the deceased.
