ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader and former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Tuesday said that the Toshakhana gifts were owned by the person who received them, it’s not given to the state or the office.
Speaking to the media outside the accountability court, Abbasi acknowledged that his name has appeared in the list of Toshakhana gifts, adding that he paid for the Toshakhana gifts as per the law.

“Whoever wants to file a case against me should contact court,” Shahid Khaqan said.

The former premier further said that Toshakhana gifts are the person’s property who bought them, and they could sell them if they want, admitting that he sold his Toshakhana gifts.

Earlier, the federal government has made the 466-page record of Toshakhana (gift depository) from 2002 to 2023 public by uploading it on the official website of the Cabinet Division.
