LAHORE: Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) chief Khadim Hussain Rizvi passed away on Thursday evening in Lahore after a brief illness.
The funeral prayers for TLP chief will be offered on Saturday at the Minar-e-Pakistan Ground, Lahore at 10 AM. TLP leaders are making arrangements for the funeral prayers, said party leader Zubair Ahmed Kasuri.
Prime Minister Imran Khan expressed condolence over the demise of chief of TLP chief. “On the passing of Maulana Khadim Hussain Rizvi my condolences go to his family,” the prime minister tweeted.
Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi also grief over his demise prayed for peace of the departed soul and strength to the family members and followers to bear the loss with equanimity, a foreign ministry press release said.
Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa expressed heartfelt condolence on the sad demise of Khadim Hussain Rizvi. “May Allah Almighty bless the departed soul in eternal peace,” said a statement by the ISPR on behalf of the army chief.
Minister for Information and Broadcasting Senator Shibli Faraz has expressed grief and sorrow over the sad demise of Allama Khadim Hussain Rizvi.
In a message of condolence, he prayed Allah Almighty to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage to the bereaved family to bear the loss with fortitude.
Minister for Religious Affairs Pir Noor-ul-Haq Qadri has expressed deep grief over the demise of the TLP leader. In his condolence message, the minister prayed for the departed soul said the services of Rizvi for Islam will be remembered for a long period.
