TikTok today launched its new “Add to Music App” feature with support for Apple Music, Spotify, and Amazon Music.
With the Add Song option at the bottom of a TikTok video, users may save songs they discover on the platform straight to their favorite music streaming service library. The Sound Detail page of an artist can also be used by users to access the Add to Music App feature.
When a user hits the button for the first time, they will be prompted to select their favorite music streaming service, which will be the default option moving forward. Any songs that are added will also be saved to a new playlist on the music app, and users have the option to add songs to other playlists if they so choose. The UK and the United States can already use the Add to Music App option, and more nations will follow.
Initially available in the US and UK, the new tool works with Spotify and Amazon Music – the latter for users signed up via Amazon Prime or on Amazon Music Unlimited.
