YouTube has announced a wider launch of its Communities feature, which was first unveiled at the Made on YouTube 2024 event. This feature established specific areas where creators and viewers can engage with each other directly on the platform.
YouTube has changed the name of the “Community” tab to “Posts” for improved clarity.
The Posts tab maintains its original features, enabling creators to share updates and announcements while viewers can comment and interact.
YouTube is expanding the availability of its Communities feature, allowing a greater number of creators to engage with their audiences directly on the platform, thereby minimizing the need for external platforms like Discord for interaction.
Communities are available only on mobile devices. While the feature is being rolled out to more users, access for creators is still by invitation only. Eligible creators will be notified through email or a banner on their channel page.
