QUETTA: At least three workers were killed in a gas cylinder explosion in a warehouse near Western Bypass in Quetta on Monday.
According to police sources, a gas cylinder exploded in a godown near the Western Bypass. As a result, three workers of godown sustained severe injuries and died on the spot.
After receiving information about the incident police and rescue workers reached the scene and shift the bodies to a nearby hospital for medico-legal formalities. police sources said that the identity of the deceased could not be ascertained yet.
Earlier last month January, a cylinder blast happed on in Quetta resulting in injuries and damage to infrastructure. Four people had reportedly suffered serious burns in the blast.
On Sunday, At least nine people, including children, were injured in a gas cylinder explosion in Gujranwala.
According to rescue sources, the gas cylinder exploded during a marriage ceremony in the house in the Qila Didar Singh area of Gujranwala. As a result, nine people were injured.
Rescue sources further said that the gas cylinder exploded with a big bang and caused the fire in the house where a marriage ceremony was carried on.
Rescue officials said that nine people suffered serious burns injuries. The injured people were shifted to the hospital for treatment.
