ISLAMABAD: Abida Parveen, a citizen from Chakwal is awaiting justice for her murdered husband.
Talking to our reporter, she said, “It has been four months since I have lodged the FIR but the murderers are still roaming free.” Police have still not arrested the culprits, justice should be served to me, she added.
Abida further added, “My husband who was killed four months ago, used to polish furniture at Lucky furniture factory at Ismali Pindi Road, Chakwal.”
She added, “He was killed by the factory owners named Raja Zafar Ali and Khan Bahadur.”
She revealed that it all started when her husband’s co-worker named Ali Raza got involved with the factory owner’s daughter and later they both ran away.
She continued that the girl, however, was brought back by a Jirga (tribal justice system) and an FIR was also lodged against Ali Raza who is still a fugitive.
She told our reporter that Ali Raza’s disappearance led the owners to question her husband about him. “They asked my husband about Raza that where was he, but my husband was unaware of his whereabouts so he told the factory owners he did not know.”
The owner Raja Zafar Ali alongside Khan Bahadur upon my husband’s non-corporation set him on fire that caused chaos in the factory, she added.
She further revealed that he was immediately brought to DHQ Chakwal by the factory manager Safdar Abbas; later he was shifted to Rawalpindi Holy Family Hospital but unfortunately, he did not survive.
Parveen said that her deceased husband was innocent. She requested police to file an FIR but the police refused. She even went to the High court seeking justice, where the court ordered authorities to file an FIR, yet the police have still not apprehended the accused.
