A Chinese technology company has developed a humanoid robot capable of running at speeds comparable to Olympic sprint legend Usain Bolt, marking a major leap in robotics and artificial intelligence-driven mobility.
The AI-powered robot, named Unitree H1, can run at a speed of 10.1 meters per second on an athletic track.
Unitree acknowledged that the figures may vary slightly, but the robot’s speed is still remarkably close to that of Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt, widely regarded as the fastest human in history.
Bolt set the 100-meter world record in 2009 with a time of 9.58 seconds, which translates to an average speed of about 10.44 meters per second.
A video report claims that Unitree has once again broken a global speed record for robots.
10m/s!! Unitree Breaks the World Record Again😊
With the physique of an ordinary person, running at a world champion’s speed!
Leg length: 0.4+0.4=0.8m, body weight: approx. 62kg!

The robot is designed to move like a human and is relatively lightweight to help it run without difficulty.
It weighs 62 kilograms and is equipped with a gear system, advanced sensing technologies, and cameras.
However, its gait appears somewhat unusual when running at high speed. It can also maintain balance and recover itself if pushed.
Thanks to the cameras in its head and other sensors, it is capable of navigating its surroundings. The robot is also set to participate in a robot marathon scheduled in China from April 19.
