The 1,000-foot-long and 12 feet wide one-way crooked street has 12 difficult and sharp turns. Driving enthusiasts raced fine vintage cars on this street on the first day after its opening.
The inauguration ceremony was held at The Most Crooked Street slope adjacent to the world’s tallest conical flagpole at Bahria Hills, which was attended by residents, other citizens, and prominent personalities including the management of Bahria Town.
Over 20 vintage cars participated in the exhibition and raced on Crooked Street. On the day of the event, the management of Bahria Town Karachi also allowed all the participants to drive for free, which caused many people to be seen moving their cars on Crooked Street.
Apart from this, there were food stalls, a children’s park, rides, and a jumping castle.
On this occasion, Chief Guest COO Bahria Town Karachi Admiral (Rtd) Ahmed Hayat while addressing the opening ceremony said that Bahria Town is a beautiful community spread over thousands of acres and the largest recreational area in the region where there are many schools, hospitals and commercial centers.
