British international journal ‘The Economist’ has downgraded the country’s rating by criticizing Pakistan’s system of government.
According to the details, the international journal gave the country’s rating from 5.29 to 5.23, describing Pakistan’s government system as dictatorial in its democracy review report.
The Economic Intelligence Unit of the popular journal The Economist rated the country as authoritarian in its Democracy Index 2023. Earlier in the review report, The Economist had described Pakistan as a hybrid system of government.
It should be remembered that earlier the spokesperson of the US Department of State Matthew Miller and other US officials demanded Pakistan investigate the allegations of rigging in the general elections held on February 8 this month.
Spokesperson of the Foreign Office Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said during the weekly press briefing 2 days ago that the election in Pakistan is national sovereignty and our internal matter. We have fulfilled our constitutional duty seriously.
Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtazzahra Baloch said that foreign observers also watched the election. Pakistanis have the right to talk about the political process of the country, and we do not need American advice regarding elections.
