ISLAMABAD: In a shocking incident, a 12-year-old girl was allegedly raped in Jinnah Park in Islamabad.
According to Daily Pakistan, On March 16, an unsettling incident transpired when the daughter of the complainant visited her friend’s residence. Upon returning home, the distraught daughter disclosed to her mother that she had been taken to F-9 Park on a motorcycle by her friend’s brother, where she was subjected to a heinous act of rape.
Following the complaint, authorities promptly registered a case, and ongoing investigations are currently in progress.
Last month, a young woman was allegedly raped by two armed men at Fatima Jinnah Park in Islamabad.
The event happened on February 2. The victim claims that she was raped by the suspects at gunpoint while visiting the Fatima Jinnah Pak, better known as F-9 Park, with a male partner.
The Islamabad Safe City Project’s capital police claim to have placed advanced cameras across the city, however they have not been able to track down the suspected rapists. The event has also raised concerns about the multibillion-dollar safe city project’s viability.
F-9 Park in Islamabad has increasingly become a cause for concern among women in the capital due to a surge in reported rape cases. Police records indicate 37 incidents within the past year alone, encompassing six instances of rape and the tragic murder of a manager from a private food delivery company within the vicinity.
