A student from Malam Jabba district of Swat, named Wasiullah, has produced an smart shoe that warns blind, visually impaired, and elderly people of obstacles in their path, making their everyday life safer.
According to the student, the shoe possesses the ability to sense and alarm the user of any hurdle in the way within 120 centimeters radius. It can alert the person through sounds and vibrations.
Wasiullah installed transmissions in shoes for blind people and its battery can be charge with solar system. “I had worked on many projects before, but due to lack of resources and no support from the government, I can’t progress in my field,” he added.
The student informed that he had worked on several other projects, including a robot and visible light communication, which uses visible light to transfer data. He also expressed hope to work on other projects, including High Security Power Home for a safe future.
Wasiullah has urged the government and higher authorities to help in financially so that he can make Pakistan proud in international platform.
Many other such students are playing an essential role in the technological development process for the country. Their smart ideas may ease a lot of lives throughout the world with the right support and financial help received by the higher authorities.
