KARACHI: On Friday, a substantial number of students participated in a protest sit-in organized by Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) against what they claim are ‘flawed results’ declared by the Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) for the intermediate first year.
Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi Ameer Engineer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman had announced to stage a sit-in on Friday outside the Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) against the ’flawed results’ of intermediate first year.
Addressing a press conference at the party’s headquarters in Karachi, he asked all the affected students and their parents to join the protest and bring in the marks sheets to the sit-in.
This announcement follows a surge in reported failure rates in both matric and intermediate examination results, stirring widespread concern.
Hafiz NaeemurRehman, the Chief of JI Karachi, strongly accused the BoIEK of jeopardizing the prospects of the city’s youth. According to Rehman, the educational system has been subjected to a systematic erosion, resulting in students’ failures attributed to incompetence and negligence.
