KARACHI: The weather in the provincial capital provided much needed relief from the recent humid weather as heavy rains lashed different parts of Karachi on Tuesday afternoon, inundating low-lying areas and roads a day after light drizzle hit the metropolis.
Heavy rain was reported from Korangi industrial area, Defense, Saddar, I. I. Chundrigar Road, Bolton Market, Clifton, Site Area, Nazimabad, and Orangi, Gulistan-e-Johar, North Karachi, Surjani Town, Gadap Town, National Highway, Bahria Town, Malir, Shahrah-e-Faisal.
Few areas have also been inundated as per the latest reports.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department had predicted thunderstorms in the city alongside other areas of Sindh and Balochistan. It also predicted gusty winds to sweep through the city over the next 24 hours.
