State Bank extends last date for encashment, change of prize bonds

The State Bank on Wednesday extended the last date for the encashment or change of prize bonds by one year till June 30, 2024.

The State Bank has issued directions to all the commercial banks in this regard.

Earlier, the last date for the encashment or change of the old or unregistered prize bonds ended on June 30, 2023.

It should be noted that prize bonds are a type of investment in which an individual purchases a bond with the hope of winning a prize through a lottery draw. These bonds are offered by various governments around the world, including Pakistan’s, as a means of generating revenue through investments.
