Karachi: Right-arm off-spinner from Karachi White Naveed Ahmed Khan was declared the best bowler of the four-day National Under-19 Championship 2023-2024 as he picked 40 wickets in the tournament.
Naveed from Karachi did not put the finishing touch as his team was unable to lift the trophy of the U19 Championship of 2023-2024.
This rising star has already been declared Best All-Rounder award in U-19 District Cricket in Karachi where he took 13 wickets and scored 220 runs. Right Arm Off-Spinner also claimed 10 wickets in the Regional One-Day Cup this year.
Off-Spinner Naveed took 10 wickets in the series against Sir Lanka U19 team, which was played in Pakistan last month.
Another, 40 wickets were taken by Naveed in the Regional U-19 three-day championship, and he became the best bowler of the tournament this year as well.
This future star belongs to Karachi’s area of Metroville, where other cricketing stars of Pakistan live, for instance, prominent All-rounder Anwar Ali, and Muhammad Omar.
Cricket analysts think that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) should give this talented bowler more exposure as the Pakistan national team has been lacking spinners, as witnessed in the recent World Cup 2023 where Pakistani spinners did not perform well.
