PESHAWAR: Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sohail Afridi has become actively engaged in efforts to persuade dissatisfied members of his party, according to sources.
Party sources said the Chief Minister visited the residence of MPA Abdul Ghani Afridi late at night, where he held a meeting aimed at addressing concerns of the disgruntled lawmaker. The visit is seen as part of a broader effort to ease internal tensions within the party.
Sources further added that Sohail Afridi has also made multiple telephone calls to several dissatisfied MPAs in an attempt to address their grievances and bring them back on board.
According to PTI sources, the party’s central leadership has advised the Chief Minister to properly accommodate the concerns of the unhappy legislators and ensure their issues are resolved.
Meanwhile, Abdul Ghani Afridi stated in a separate comment that the meeting focused on overall development issues in District Khyber. He said discussions also included public problems and possible solutions to improve service delivery in the region.
Efforts are ongoing within the party to resolve internal differences and maintain unity among elected representatives.
