The Sindh government will screen the FIFA Club World Cup semi-finals and final on giant screens at multiple venues across the province, giving football fans an opportunity to watch the tournament’s decisive matches together as part of efforts to promote the sport and community engagement.
Sindh Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Sardar Muhammad Bakhsh Khan Mahar said the semi-finals, scheduled for July 15 and 16, and the final on July 20 will be screened at the Youth Development Centre in Sharafi Goth, Karachi’s Malir district.
He said similar public screenings have been arranged in Shaheed Benazirabad, Larkana, Hyderabad and Mirpurkhas to enable football enthusiasts across the province to enjoy the tournament.
In Sukkur, both semi-final matches and the final will be shown at the Municipal Stadium, while Rohri Football Ground will host a screening of the final.
Meanwhile, spectators in Ghotki will be able to watch all three matches at the district sports complex, whereas the Thatta Sports Complex will screen only the final.
The initiative aims to promote football and encourage community participation by providing fans with an opportunity to watch the tournament’s biggest matches on large screens in a festive atmosphere.
