Sindh reports 205 new COVID-19 cases, three deaths   

KARACHI: The novel COVID-19 has claimed three more lives and infected at least 205 people during the past 24 hours, bringing the number of confirmed infections to 131,678 in Sindh province.

Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah said three more patients had lost their lives overnight, taking the death toll up to 2443. 205 more cases were recorded in the province, out of the 13,797 tests that were conducted.

The CM said that the detection rate was currently 1 percent on Saturday, which is lower than the overall rate of 11 percent.

A total of 1,120,255 tests have been conducted in Sindh, out of which 131,880 cases have been positive. The recovery rate has been 93 percent, with 127,418 patients recovering, including 557 overnight.

Currently, 2019 patients are under treatment, of 1737 are in home isolation, six at isolation centers, and 276 at different hospitals.

The condition of 144 patients is stated to be critical, including 17 shifted on ventilators.

The CM Sindh said that out of 201 new cases in Sindh, 85 cases are from Karachi He said that 39 new cases are reported in Thatta, 9 each in Badin and Jamshoro, 7 each in Tando Allahyar and Tando Muhammad Khan.

Murad Ali Shah said that 5 cases are reported from Umerkot, 2 from Shikarpur, 3 each in Hyderabad, Matiari, Larkana, Sanghar and Shaheed Benazirabad while 1 each from Ghotki, Qambar, Kashmore, Mirpurkhas, Naushahro Feroze and Sukkur.
