Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Memon has announced the launch of the second phase of the province’s electric scooter distribution program, advancing the government’s commitment to promoting eco-friendly transportation and enhancing women’s mobility.
He stressed that this initiative is part of a wider plan to offer women safer and more dependable travel options, particularly in urban areas where traffic congestion and limited public transport often pose challenges.
To apply for the Sindh EV Scooty Scheme, eligible women must submit an online application form through the official Sindh Mass Transit Authority (SMTA) website.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements to qualify for the scheme,
- Be a permanent resident of Sindh province.
- Be a student or a working woman (priority given to widows and single mothers).
- Hold a valid motorbike or car driving license (a learner’s permit may be acceptable).
- Agree not to sell or sublet the scooty for a minimum of seven years.
- Pass a road safety skill test if selected through the balloting process.

Before starting the online application, ensure you have scanned copies (each file typically under 2MB) of the following documents ready to upload;
- CNIC (front and back)
- Domicile certificate
- Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC)
- Valid driving license (front and back)
- Student ID or Employee ID card (if applicable)
Application Process
- Visit the official website: Go to the official SMTA Sindh website.
- Navigate to “Projects”: Click on the “Projects” section on the website.
- Access the application form: Look for and click on the “EV Scooty Ballot Form, Application Form” link.
- Accurately complete the online form with all personal, contact, and employment/academic details as required.
- Attach the scanned copies of all the required documents.
- Review all the information carefully and submit the form before the announced deadline.
Selected candidates will be notified of the results, which are determined through a transparent balloting process.
