ISLAMABAD: Senior leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Dr Shireen Mazari has trolled Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for lecturing on structural flaws in politics.
Taking to Twitter on Wednesday, PM Shehbaz Sharif expressed his belief that there was a fundamental problem with the way politics is conducted as instead of focusing on serving the public and delivering results, politics has become a platform for empty and theatrical speech-making.
Our politics suffers from a structural flaw. It has, unfortunately, been reduced to a shorthand for grandstanding & meaningless rhetoric. To me, service delivery alone should govern competition for public office. Politics is an arena where people compete to serve fellow citizens.

Shehbaz Sharif went on to say that to him, service delivery alone should govern competition for public office. Politics is an arena where people compete to serve fellow citizens.
Responding to PM’s tweet, Dr Shireen Mazari first called Shehbaz Sharif as ‘silly man’, adding that the real structural flaw in politics was the way it allowed corrupt individuals to get away with their misdeeds through the use of “NROs” (which stands for “National Reconciliation Ordinance”, a law that granted amnesty to political figures accused of corruption).
Dr Shireen Mazari accused Shehbaz Sharif of canceling important social welfare programs such as the “Ehsaas” program and the health card scheme, which were intended to benefit the public, adding that his only contribution to service delivery has been to facilitate corruption.
U silly man, the structural flaw is that it allows the corrupt to get NROs to secure their loot & the powerful convicts to abscond for years abroad. U cancelled Ehsaas prog & got ppl killed over flour & cancelled health card scheme. Your only service delivery is to the corrupt. https://t.co/Sg1QD2qoZD
