ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information, Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan has said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president Shehbaz Sharif’s own party workers wanted his return to Pakistan.
In a series of tweets, Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan wrote that the PML-N party had adopted the government’s stance for Shehbaz Sharif’s arrival in Pakistan.
Their own party was demanding the same; the return of Shahbaz Sharif, she added.
Moreover, earlier this week, PML-N leader Rana Sana Ullah confirmed that Shehbaz Sharif would return back to Pakistan at the end of March.
Earlier on Tuesday in the meeting, Senator Pir Sabir Shah complained that the party had suffered damage by putting behind the stance of Nawaz Sharif.
He further said that PM:-N should take advantage of the poor performance of the federal government.
He also warned that if party did not stick with the stance of Nawaz Sharif than it would lose the support of the masses.
