KARACHI: Sindh Healthcare Commission is giving free registration facility to Healthcare Establishments in order to encourage them to get themselves registered.
SHCC is issuing Final Public Notice for registration of Healthcare Establishments. The inspection team will start inspection of HCEs’ and upon findings SHCC may impose fine which may extend to 500,000 rupees upon healthcare service provider or any other person who practice without registering themselves with SHCC.
While Directorate of Clinical Governance & Training met with pathologist and financial experts in meeting for setting laboratory prices. In meeting data of laboratory prices was discussed and different tiers of labs were decided.
The team also conducted meeting of Task force for Laboratory standards, the financial aspects and HR aspects concerning laboratories were discussed in the meeting.

The Directorate in a separate meeting with stakeholders prepare draft policies for Infection prevention and control in Sindh for implementation.
The Directorate has also sent current status and work in progress for provincial waste management to Ministry of Climate.
Directorate of Anti-quackery, SHCC sealed till date total 2585 Healthcare Establishments (HCEs’) in Sindh till date. While warnings issued to HCEs’ for non-compliance till date are 674.
Directorate of Complaint, SHCC received till date total 100 complaints out of which 80 complaints are disposed of, 14 complaints are under process while 6 are sub-judice.
