SHC dismisses Shehbaz Sharif’s petition against Faisal Vawda
KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Friday dismissed the petition of Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif against the Federal Minister for Water Resources Faisal Vawda.
Earlier Shehbaz Sharif moved Faisal Vawda to the SHC’s election tribunal to declare the leader ineligible on the success in NA-249 during General Elections 2018.
Shehbaz Sharif took the stance that Faisal Vawda had rigged the elections and requested the tribunal to nullify the polls.

In General Election 2018, Shehbaz Sharif lost the elections by just over 600 votes. Faisal Vawda had bagged 35,344 votes while Shehbaz Sharif received 34,626 votes.
