LAHORE: Pakistan left-arm opener Shan Masood has named Australian players, which he would like to see play for Multan Sultans in the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
After Australia’s ODI skipper Aaron Finch voiced his opinion about seeing Babar Azam play in the Big Bash League (BBL), Shan Masood stated he wants to see Pat Cummins and Mitchell Marsh represent Multan Sultans next season.
The Sultans’ social media account posted a question about which Australian player would the fans want to see play for them. The image attached included Marcus Stoinis and Cameron Green.
However, the franchise superstar Shan opted for the name of Mitchell Marsh who played a pivotal role in Australia’s success at the ICC T20 World Cup final.
He was later named player of the match for his match-winning innings of 77* from 50 deliveries which included six boundaries and four maximums. In addition to that, he also named Australian captain and pacer Pat Cummins.

The PSL 8 is set to follow a new play acquisition model based on indications from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Ramiz Raja as the drafting phase will be replaced by an auction model.
However, it remains to be seen whether it will be implemented or not as the franchises are yet to unanimously agree to the shift in player acquisition model.
As for the Australia tour of Pakistan, the Aussies got first taste of success, winning the Test series, but suffered series defeat in the One Day Internationals. There is still some action left as the one and only T20I will be played from on the 5th of April in Lahore.
