ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court has directed the government to use correct words for ‘persons with disabilities’ in official correspondence and not those which are degrading or offensive.
The Supreme Court ordered not to call disabled people with disabilities in the disability quota case. The SC in its judgment directed the federal and provincial governments to stop using the word disability at the official level and not to write disability in official correspondence, circulars, and notifications.
