Saudi Arabia has started accepting and issuing Umrah visa applications for the new Umrah season. According to the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, the arrival of Umrah pilgrims from around the world resumed on Sunday following the conclusion of this year’s Hajj season.
The ministry announced that Umrah visas for the current season will continue to be issued until March 9, 2027, corresponding to 1 Shawwal 1448 AH.
After this date, no new Umrah visas will be granted. International pilgrims will be allowed to enter Saudi Arabia until March 23, 2027, while all Umrah visitors must leave the Kingdom by April 7, 2027.
Authorities said that pilgrims can obtain permits for entry into Makkah and for performing Umrah through the Saudi government’s “Nusuk” application.
The platform serves as a centralized digital system for permits, bookings, guidance, and other services related to Umrah and Hajj.
Over the past few years, Saudi Arabia has considerably expanded the use of digital technology in Umrah services. Through the Nusuk platform, the Kingdom has introduced electronic permits, automated contracting procedures, and QR code verification systems to provide pilgrims with a smoother and more organized experience.
