Former Pakistan cricket team captain Sarfaraz Ahmed has been appointed as the team director of Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise Quetta Gladiators, franchise owner Nadeem Umar announced.
Sarfaraz, who has been a key player for Quetta Gladiators since the inception of the league, led the team to its only PSL title in 2019.
His new role marks a significant shift in his association with the franchise as he transitions from a player to a leadership role off the field.
“Today, I am pleased to announce the appointment of Sarfaraz Ahmed as the team director of Quetta Gladiators,” said Nadeem Umar, expressing confidence in the decision.
He also highlighted the strong combination of Sarfaraz as team director and former captain Moin Khan as head coach, believing that this leadership duo will help bring success to the franchise.
