Sapphire Electronics (Pvt) Limited has announced its new partnership with Samsung Electronics, a leading global technology company, to manufacture, assemble, and distribute Samsung-branded electronics and home appliances in Pakistan.
Samsung Electronics, headquartered in South Korea, is one of the world’s largest technology firms and a prominent manufacturer of smartphones and major appliances.
The parent company of Sapphire Electronics, Reliance Cotton Spinning Mills Limited (RCML), shared this update in a notice to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Monday.
The notice outlined that Sapphire Electronics, a fully owned subsidiary of RCML, has entered into an agreement with Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. (South Korea) and Samsung Gulf Electronics Co., FZE (United Arab Emirates) to manufacture and/or assemble Samsung-branded electronics and home appliances for sale in Pakistan.
In 2021, Lucky Motor Corporation (LMC), a subsidiary of Lucky Cement Limited, also reached an agreement with Samsung Gulf Electronics Co., FZE for the local production of Samsung-branded mobile devices in Pakistan.
