SAP unfolds new performance benchmark

KARACHI: Leading global software technology giant, SAP has unfolded a new performance benchmark for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) in Pakistan with its revolutionary ERP tools.

With specialized solutions including SAP S4, Rise with SAP Cloud, SAP Business One (B1), the firm’s flagship small business software, and SAP Business By Design, a single cloud ERP solution, SAP is providing agile solutions to SMEs in the country across all industries from energy to food and fashion, navigating their digital transformation journey in a post-pandemic economy.

Sky Electric takes a step forward with digitization

Sky Electric PVT Ltd, Pakistan’s No.1 Solar Energy Company, has gone live with SAP Solution to expedite its mission of making clean energy available by building a distributed and intelligent energy storage grid, managed via the Internet.

Waseem Khan, Manager IT at Sky Electric said, “Digitization of SMEs is extremely important in boosting the business as it integrates people, processes, and technology resulting in smoother company operations and efficient service to the customers nationwide.”

“Keeping in view the expanding and critical nature of the services we provide, a tested, reliable, and an integrated modular solution was needed for advanced support of our finances, supply chain, sales, and operations,” he added.

Waseem Khan further said implementation of SAP allowed upgrading the automation of all these critical functions and move further ahead than ever before in a very short time.

Kashmir Cooking Oil & Banaspati all set to go live

In a bid to ensure food safety and comply with strict industry standards with business excellence, Kashmir Cooking Oil & Banaspati, one of the most renowned and celebrated cooking oil and ghee brands of United Industries Limited (UIL), is all set to go live with SAP Solution’send-to-end implementation.

Along with keeping all of its clients’ business information in a single system, this customized ERP tool will also help streamline Accounting& finance, sales, supply chain management, and Service Management.

Farhan Tufail, CIO, UIL said, “As a company operating successfully since 1962, we place a strong emphasis on understanding and fulfilling consumer demands. With SAP Solution, our ability to keep up these standards has further increased as it streamlines the entire business process under one platform, making things easier than they ever can be.”

BTW scales up e-Commerce

Pakistan’s all-inclusive popular fashion brand, By The Way (BTW) by Din Industries, has deployed the SAP Solution to streamline inventory and sales processes for its stores across the country. To meet the changing needs of the retail fashion brand, this ERP is customized to support the growing e-commerce business, increasing its order handling capacity while utilizing the same number of resources.

Irfan Muneer, Director at BTW, said “Digital is the key to sustenance for retail businesses in during Covid-19 and post-Covid-19, especially for the fashion industry.

He said, “We are seeing an exponential increase in the demand for e-commerce lately that has driven our decision to digitize and expedite our operations. While affordability is one of the main obstacles in the digitization of SMEs, it is this very aspect and scalability of SAP that has enabled us to adopt this tool without straining our resources,” Ifran added.

Ifran further said from design integration, sale, production, and finance, to warehouse and inventory management, this software has taken ease-of-doing-business to a new level.
