KARACHI: On Sunday, Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani said Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P) convener Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui should think regarding returning to the federal cabinet, adding that this would enable him to work more efficiently for his community.
Speaking at a press conference after the meeting between the Senate Chairman and the MQM-P leadership in Karachi, Sanjrani said: “Khalid Maqbool himself is wise person, he leads his party, I think he will certainly think about returning to the federal cabinet and discuss his party with regard to the well-being of Pakistan.”

Khalid Maqbool had announced the decision to resign from his post as Information Technology Minister on January 12, while stressing that his party, despite its reservations, did not abandon the ruling government of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI).
Answering the questions as to whether he had advised Siddiqui to return to the federal ministry, Sanjrani said: “Our advice is to join him, he can work for his people more successfully. Khalid Maqbool would make his own decision,” he added.
