What was supposed to be a peaceful Ramadan transmission turned into one of the most talked-about moments on Pakistani television this year, and nobody saw it coming.
During a live broadcast of the popular “Piyara Ramzan” transmission on Express TV, veteran host Javeria Saud found herself in the middle of a firestorm when a male caller dialed in, not to spread positivity during the holy month, but to openly troll and insult TikToker Samra Shehzadi.
The caller took aim at her appearance and mocked comparisons fans had made between her and Bollywood megastar Aishwarya Rai.
But what happened next left everyone absolutely stunned.
Javeria Saud, never one to stay silent in the face of disrespect, immediately shut the caller down with full force.
She scolded him on live television, reminded him how to speak to women with basic dignity, and told him in no uncertain terms that he should be ashamed of himself. The whole exchange happened in real time, right in front of thousands of viewers, and the internet absolutely lost its mind.
Clips of the moment spread like wildfire across social media, with fans flooding the comments to praise Javeria for her boldness and zero tolerance for harassment on a public platform. Many called her a true champion for women’s dignity, while others could not stop replaying the moment she put that caller firmly in his place.

Of course, as always with viral moments, not everyone agreed. A section of viewers questioned the tone of her response while others raised eyebrows and wondered aloud whether the entire call had been staged for dramatic effect and ratings. The debate raged on for days.

What makes this story even more interesting is that Samra Shehzadi is no stranger to the Piyara Ramzan set. She has been a regular face on the transmission this year, appearing in beloved segments like “Piyara Bachpan” and even starring in fun acting skits alongside other guests.

Things got even more playful when a promotional clip joked that Shehzadi had practically “claimed Javeria Saud’s seat” on set, a sign of just how close and comfortable the two have become.
One thing is for certain. Javeria Saud made it very clear that her set is a safe space, and anyone who shows up with disrespect, whether in person or on the phone, will be dealt with swiftly and without apology.
