Actress Sajal Aly has landed herself in hot waters after her viral video in which she is seen doing namaste gestures has upset social media users.
Her recent video is doing rounds on social media where the What’s Love Got to Do with It actress was caught doing a ‘Namaste’ gesture. Donned in an off-white and black suit, Sajal Aly looks marvelous in the attire.

Soon her video went viral, and many social media users seemed displeased with how the actress was acting in front of the press. Fans started to question her action which was uncalled for according to them. One of the users even said that these actors assume that they are Hindus and therefore they love to imitate Hindus.
On the work front, Aly’s What’s Love Got to Do with It? is a 2022 British romantic comedy-drama movie directed by Shekhar Kapur, from a screenplay by Jemima Khan. The movie is about a white British woman who falls in love with a South Asian man.
The film stars Lily James as Zoe and Shazad Latif as Kazim – the couple in question as well as Shabana Azmi, Sajal Aly, Oliver Chris, Asim Chaudhry, Jeff Mirza, Alice Orr-Ewing, and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and the not be missed, Emma Thompson.
What’s Love Got to Do with It? had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September last year, and won Best Comedy (the ‘Ugo Tognazzi’ award) at the Rome Film Fest in October 2022.
