Netflix’s supposed upcoming political satire ‘Average Height Average Build’ starring Robert Pattinson, Amy Adams, and Robert Downey J might not stream on the streaming platform, following the exit of Adam McKay.
Pattinson was set to play a serial murderer who enlists a lobbyist to work on his behalf to change the law so he can kill with impunity. On the other hand, Downey was supposed to play a cop obsessed with bringing the killer to justice in this sendup of Beltway dysfunction.
Instead, Adam McKay will now focus on his movie which is focused on climate change. A spokesperson for McKay told The Hollywood Reporter, “With the climate emergency having escalated a great deal, Adam McKay has decided to make his next directorial project a climate-related one, so he will not be directing Average Height, Average Build.”
For this project, the filmmaker is already working with cinematographer Todd Banhazl. Average Height, Average Build would have been a second collaboration between Adam McKay and Netflix following ‘Don’t Look Up’.
