According to Azon Global, Klassen is recognized for his development of a stem cell therapy recently sanctioned by the US Food and Drug Administration, aimed at addressing hereditary blindness.
His conversion to Islam occurred during the sacred month of Ramadan, the ninth month of the Islamic lunar calendar, observed worldwide by Muslims through fasting from dawn to sunset for 29 to 30 days.
Klassen’s adoption of Islam follows shortly after prominent activist Shaun King’s conversion to the faith.
