The Punjab education department recently declared that all schools will resume regular schedules on February 1, 2024.

According to government directives, both public and private schools will operate from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm on weekdays. Fridays will have a shorter schedule, running from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm, until the end of January.

The official notification, an extension of the department’s previous notice dated January 8, 2024, states, “The timings already notified are hereby extended until January 31, 2024, in all public and private schools across the province. Schools will resume regular timings from February 1, 2024.”

The directive emphasizes strict compliance with these timings for all Chief Executive Officers (DEA) in Punjab and Heads/Principals of Public and Private schools.

Parents, students, and school staff are urged to take note of this update as schools transition back to their regular schedules, ensuring a smooth return to the standard academic routine.
