KARACHI: – The provincial administration in the Sindh province has issued a notification regarding the revision of school timings.
“As the severity of winter/cold has reduced across the province, therefore, the previous school timings are hereby withdrawn,” a notification issued by the Directorate of Inspection/Registration of Private Institutions said.
All public and private educational institutions in the province now open at their regularly scheduled time of 8:00 a.m. according to a fresh notification from the Sindh School Education Department.
Due to the cold snap last month, administrators ordered to start schools at 8:30 am.
Moreover, Sindh School Education announced that this year, promotions for students in grades 1-3 will take place without exams.
Classes 4 through 8 will take their exams in accordance with the schedule. The authorities also declared that the HSC exams would begin on May 22 and the matric exams would begin on May 8.
