KARACHI: The authorities on Tuesday suspended the registration of 20 schools in Karachi over violating the closure order of educational institutes till March 13 to avoid an outbreak of coronavirus.
On the orders of Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, registrar Private Schools along with government officials visited in different schools in the city.
The visits aimed to appraise the implementation of the provincial government’s closure orders and suspended the registration of 20 private schools in the metropolis.
Earlier on Monday, Director General (DG) Private Schools Mansoob Siddiqui along with government officials had paid to supervise visits in different schools in Karachi and suspended the registration of several schools found opened.
Mansoob Siddiqui visited different areas of the city, including Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Korangi, Landhi, Gulshan-e-Hadeed, Nazimabad and North Karachi areas.
He also directed the chairman board of secondary education to take stern action against all those schools found violating the orders of the provincial government.
The owners of all the schools found violating the closure orders were summoned in the office of the director’s private school to seek an explanation of their acts.
