Moragah Police have arrested a three-member inter-district gang allegedly involved in robbing citizens returning to Pakistan from abroad.
According to police, items worth a total of Rs103 million were recovered from the arrested suspects, including 22 mobile phones, 15 laptops, 100 AirPods, and 100 wristwatches.
Police said the suspects specifically targeted citizens returning from overseas and robbed them. The gang was arrested with the help of technical and human intelligence.
Rawalpindi City Police Officer (CPO) Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera had assigned a special task for the arrest of the gang.
According to SP Potohar Chaudhry Asar Ali, investigations into the arrested suspects are underway, and further significant revelations are expected. Efforts are also continuing to arrest the gang’s other associates and alleged facilitators.
Police said the arrested suspects will be challaned before the court on the basis of solid evidence.
