KARACHI: Pakistan Rangers Sindh on Monday claimed to have apprehended 12 suspected criminals during intelligence-based raids in different parts of the metropolis.
According to Rangers’ spokesman, on intelligence reports, the paramilitary forces conducted raids criminals in different areas of the city, including Khokharapra, Model Colony, Malir City, Eidhgha, Garden Kalakot, Lyari and Jackson areas.
During the raids the rangers detained 12 criminals, Naeem, Muhammad Hussain, Aurangzaib alias Buhda, Muhammad Farhan, Shahzad Ali, Muhammad Ahsan, Abdul Karim, Shah Hussain, Agha Khail and Rabi Alam. The arrested criminals were handed over to the police for further legal formalities.
The Rangers claimed that the arrested suspects were involved in street crimes, drug peddling and other suspicious activities.
Earlier on January 4, Sindh Rangers apprehended 19 suspects during raids carried out in various areas of Karachi. Rangers had stated that the raids were carried out by paramilitary forces in the metropolis areas of Baldia, Korangi, Malir and other areas of the city.
