ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Meteorological Department has predicted the rain in upcoming seven days in parts of the country as various cities including the federal capital have received rainfall with thunder and lightning.
According to the details, various areas of Azad Kashmir, Upper Punjab, and Islamabad received rain. Thunderstorms along with heavy rains are also predicted.
The Meteorological Department stated that rain, wind, and hail storm are expected in most parts of the country from today till May 5. There is a possibility of light rain in Karachi tonight as well.
According to the forecast of Chief Meteorological Department, Sardar Sarfaraz, it will rain in Karachi tonight, while moderate and heavy rain will occur tomorrow from noon to evening. The low-lying areas of Badin, Sanghar, and Matiari may be inundated.

During the next 24 hours, moderate to heavy rain is likely to occur in the Pak-Afghan border region, Azad Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and Balochistan as well as in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The Ministry of Environment has alerted the relevant institutions.
On the other hand, the Sindh government has also issued a high alert to all its departments with the possibility of more than average rainfall in the province in May.
According to the forecast of the Sindh Meteorological Department, the fishermen have been banned from going into the deep sea along the coast of Sindh till May 5.
