The Meteorological Department has forecasted rain across the country at the beginning of Ramadan.
According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rain and snowfall in mountainous areas are expected across the country on March 2 and 3, while the weather is likely to remain dry in most parts of the country today, with cold conditions in the upper regions.
The Meteorological Department stated that the weather in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan will be partly cloudy, with light rain accompanied by thunderstorms and snowfall in some areas.
It is noteworthy that the crescent for Ramadan was not sighted in the country yesterday, due to which the first fast will now be observed tomorrow, Sunday.
On Saturday, the weather is expected to remain dry in most parts of the country, while the upper regions will experience cold conditions. However, in the evening/night, the weather in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan will be partly cloudy, with light rain accompanied by thunderstorms and snowfall in some areas.
On Sunday, the weather in northern/northwestern Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, and upper/central Punjab will be partly cloudy, with rain accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms, along with snowfall in mountainous areas. The weather in other parts of the country is expected to remain cold and dry.
