Pushpa 2: The Rule, starring Allu Arjun, continues its stellar performance in its fourth week, reaching significant box office milestones.
According to a report by Indian Express on Sunday, the film saw a notable 42% increase in Saturday’s earnings, making Rs 12.5 crore, according to Sacnilk, bringing its total domestic collection to Rs 1141.35 crore.
The Hindi version has been a key driver, contributing Rs 741.15 crore, while the Telugu version follows with Rs 322.23 crore. The Tamil version has brought in Rs 56.3 crore, with Kannada and Malayalam adding Rs 7.57 crore and Rs 14.1 crore, respectively, over the past 24 days.
Despite a decline in collections earlier in the week, with Thursday seeing a 46% drop and Friday a 16% dip, the film’s worldwide earnings have now reached a remarkable Rs 1719 crore.
Pushpa 2 is on track to overtake Baahubali 2’s lifetime collection of Rs 1788.06 crore, positioning itself as the second-highest-grossing Indian film ever, behind only Aamir Khan’s Dangal, which grossed Rs 2000 crore worldwide.
The film’s success highlights Allu Arjun’s star power and the appeal of Sukumar’s direction. The gripping storyline, alongside standout performances from Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil, has resonated with audiences nationwide.
However, the film’s success has also been marred by controversy following a tragic stampede during a special screening at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad, which led to a fatality and left another person critically injured. Allu Arjun was reportedly present at the venue during the incident.
