LAHORE: The Punjab government has approved the recruitment of 7,354 College Teaching Interns (CTIs) across the province.
A ‘Central Portal’ will be established to ensure transparent hiring for CTIs in government colleges.
The Chief Minister also called for a comprehensive and standardized housing policy throughout Punjab. Moreover, the cabinet approved the allocation of Rs 500 million for the ‘Endowment Fund for Writers’ Welfare,’ under the supervision of the Information and Culture Department, and endorsed amendments to the Punjab Infrastructure Development Cess Act 2015.
Tributes were paid to police personnel for their service in Rahim Yar Khan and the Katcha area, and the cabinet approved a special allowance for those serving in the Katcha region.
The Chief Minister rejected a proposal by the Women Development Department to raise hostel fees for working women, maintaining the current charges across Punjab.
Finally, the CM instructed the prompt completion of the legal process for establishing the Punjab Enforcement & Regulatory Authority (PERA).
